Creating a meaningful design is in some ways the easiest part of the process. Getting it built is where most projects can lose their way. Working with contractors is often not like other business endeavors. I'll be your advocate in every step of the construction process from reviewing their estimates and agreements to checking that the quality of their work is what you paid for.

Every decision I make on a project is viewed through the lens of sustainability. Foremost, this means reducing the energy loads required for the building through passive design strategies. Then we look at energy efficient systems to reduce life cycle operating and replacement costs. Third, we look to source sustainably & locally fabricated materials & products for a healthy interior environment. The high resale value on design like this is just the icing on the cake.
